Kootenay 8 Kamloops 3

Cranbrook, BC – The Kootenay ICE scored 4 power-play goals in a 8-3 win over the Kamloops Blazers in WHL action on Wednesday night.

ICE opened the scoring as Dominik Pacovsky’s pass was Tylan Stephens crashing the crease.
On a power-play the ICE made it 2-0 as Dustin Sylvester found a loose puck in front of the net and chipped in his 1st PPG of the year.
In the 2nd period Sylvester attempted pass from behind the net went in off the goalies’ pads for a 3-0 lead.
Max Reinhart made it 4-0 on the power-play as John Negrin’s attempted pass deflected off his skate.
On another power-play Brayden McNabb stepped into a long slap shot from the blue that beat the goalie high on the glove side. Blazers then made the goalie change with Jon Groenheyde replaced Justin Leclerc.
Drew Czerwonka made it 6-0 as he fought off a check in front off the net and shovelled the puck into the net.
ICE defenseman Eric Frere scored his 1st goal of the season on a power-play with a slap shot from the blueline.
Blazers scored 3 goals in a span of 2:18 with Zak Stebner, Kenton Dulle, Alex Rodgers getting the goals.
ICE finished the scoring as Jesse Ismond scored with 5 seconds left in the 3rd period.

The ICE will host Moose Jaw on Saturday for A&W Teddy Bear/Mitten Toss night.
