The Kootenay ICE will open the New Year Friday in Edmonton. Forward Dominik Pacovsky suffered a bruised lung on Wednesday and will miss both weekend games. The club has called up to 2 list players to help them have a complete roster. Edmonton native Jordan Bauer and Calgary native Simon Skrudland will play in both games. Bauer started the year with the ICE while Skrudland will be making his WHL debut. Both played in the Mac's Tournament in Calgary.
After losing the 1st 2 meetings the ICE shutout the Oil Kings in the last meeting.
