ICE Trade With Vancouver

Frank Musil, NHL Career 86-01 w/Minnesota, Calgary, Ottawa & Edmonton, is moving his family to Burnaby BC. After moving from the Czech Rep to Canada his 16-year-old son David is now available to play in the WHL. Scouting reports say he should be a very high pick in the 2011 NHL Draft, maybe in the top 3. He is a huge defenseman at 6’5” and again the reports are he is the real deal.
The WHL held a lottery draft and the Kootenay ICE won his playing rights.
Musil wants to play near his family so the ICE have traded him to the Giants for a 2010 5th round Bantam pick and a 2011 1st round Bantam pick.

Overall this is great news for the WHL to get a high quality player to be in the league.
For the ICE they get 2 picks. Obviously a 1st round pick is always a great thing to get. Plus they now have something like 9 picks in the 1st 5 rounds of the 2010 Bantam draft which is expected to be one of deepest drafts in a long time.
