ICE Host Lethbridge Tonight

The Kootenay ICE will start a new season tonight.
This is the first of 6 meetings between the clubs, last year they split their 6-game series.
Exhibition stats don’t mean a thing but just so you know the ICE won 3 of the 4 preseason games and Lethbridge was winless. Both teams used extremely young line-ups.
Both clubs are affected by NHL camps as the ICE are without Brayden McNabb. Hurricanes will be missing Brennan Yadlowski, Kyle Beach and Carter Ashton.
Since moving to Cranbrook the ICE have won 7 of 11 home openers with 2 losses and 2 ties. Last year the ICE beat Spokane on opening night.
Because of renovations on their home building Lethbridge is starting the year with 8 straight home games.
The ICE will be displaying a new look with their new uniforms. But their will be familiar faces with 18 players who played games with the ICE last year on the roster.
There is a lot of optimism with the ICE as they made trades last year to get younger and still found success. Now everyone is a year older and expectations are always to make the playoffs and that doesn’t change this year.

The Pre-Game Show is at 6:30 on The Drive.
