ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 8-11-1-0 record (5-5-1-0 at home, 3-6-0-0 on the road, 2-1 in overtime, 1-0 in shootouts) and are in fifth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION…This week the ICE will travel to CALGARY (November 11) before returning home to host TRI-CITY (November 14) then traveling to LETHBRIDGE (November 15).

NEW YEARS EVE WITH THE ICE: Celebrate NEW YEARS EVE with the KOOTENAY ICE…Following the game against REGINA on December 31st the Hockey Club will be hosting a NEW YEARS EVE party at the HERITAGE INN...Tickets are $75.00 per person or $125.00 per couple and will include dinner, DJ, dance, silent auction and door prizes…Tickets are available at the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE with all the monies raised going to the EDUCATION FUND.

SAVE ON FOODS: The KOOTENAY ICE and SAVE ON FOODS are pleased to announce the 2009-2010 SAVE ON FOODS VOUCHERS are now available…Customers can purchase the ticket vouchers at the CRANBROOK SAVE ON FOODS location for all remaining KOOTENAY ICE regular season home games…Cardholders can pick them up for $14.00 plus gst or for free with the redemption of 8,000 SAVE ON MORE points…Non-Cardholders can get their vouchers for $16.00 plus gst.

BEDROOM FURNITURE GALLERIES: On Saturday, November 14 when the ICE host TRI-CITY it will be BEDROOM FURNITURE GALLERIES NIGHT…Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win $50.00 gift certificates from BEDROOM FURNITURE GALLERIES with the purchase of a game day program.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE are 7-3-1-0 when they score first and 1-8-0-0 when their opponent scores first…BRAYDEN MCNABB has been selected to play on TEAM WHL in the 2009 SUBWAY SUPER SERIES in KELOWNA on November 26…TODD MATHEWS recorded his third WHL career shutout on November 1 against SEATTLE (25 saves).. DUSTIN SYLVESTER has recorded 92 assists in his WHL career…STEELE BOOMER has recorded 43 assists in his WHL career…JOE ANTILLA needs to play in five more games to reach 150 WHL career games played.

INJURIES: Defenseman BRAYDEN MCNABB will be out of the KOOTENAY line up three to five weeks with a knee injury…Defenseman LUKE PAULSEN will be out of the ICE line up one week with an ankle injury…Forwards MATT FRASER (knee), CHRISTIAN MAGNUS (broken finger) and Goaltender NATHAN LIEUWEN (concussion) will all be out of the KOOTENAY line up day to day with their injuries.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 20 games of the 2008-2009 season the ICE were 9-6-2-3, after 21 games 10-6-2-3 and after 22 games 10-7-2-3.
