Lethbridge 4 Kootenay 1 Game #66

Cranbrook, BC – Lethbridge Hurricanes scored 3 third period goals in a 4-1 win over the Kootenay ICE in WHL action on Saturday night.

Lethbridge scored the only goal of the first period as defenseman Cason Machacek floated a shot from the hash marks along the board that beat the goalie on the stick side.
ICE Matt Fraser was awarded a penalty shot and his shot hit the post along the ice low on the stick side.

The ICE scored the lone goal of the second as Matt Fraser made a behind the net pass to Max Reinhart who beat the fallen goalie.

Early in the third period the Hurricanes scored 2 goals in less than a minute.
Ryan Moser was left alone in front of the net and received a pass from the corner from Neal Tarnasky and he had an open net for the redirection.
Mitch Maxwell made it 3-1 on a breakaway and scored on backhand deke.
ICE changed goalies as Todd Mathews replace Nathan Lieuwen.
Austin Fyten took the puck behind the net and fed a wide open Cam Braes who scored on a one-timer high on the glove side.

ICE scratches – Brock Montgomery 8th game (shoulder 1-2 weeks) and Brendan Hurley.

ICE will visit Edmonton on Wednesday.
