ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 11-3-0-1 record (6-1-0-0 at home, 5-2-0-1 on the road, 2-0-1 in overtime) and in first place in the CENTRAL DIVISION and third in the WHL…KOOTENAY has won their last seven games and are off to their best start since the 2000-2001 season (11-3-1 record)…The ICE will conclude their four game homestand with three games this week against CHILLIWACK (November 2), LETHBRIDGE (November 5) and CALGARY (November 6).

GROW-VEMBER: For the month of November member of the KOOTENAY ICE will be growing their best facial hair in support of the CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY and MEN’S HEALTH…Fans are encouraged to grow their facial hair along with the team and email your best looks throughout the month to growvember@gmail.com…The ICE will have their facial hair shaved off at center ice following the game on November 20th.

PEPSI KIDS CLUB: If you are between the ages of 5 and 12 you can sign up to be part of the PEPSI KIDS CLUB for only $17.00…Members receive a PEPSI KIDS CLUB gift, membership card and a PEPSI KIDS CLUB punch card that will get you into eight games for $5.00 per game…Members will also be invited to attend three private events…To sign up visit the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE.

DID YOU KNOW: MAX REINHART needs to play in one more game to reach 150 WHL career games...JOEY LEACH needs to play in three more games to reach 100 career WHL games…KEVIN KING needs to record four more assists to reach 100 in his WHL career…NATHAN LIEUWEN recorded his sixth WHL career shutout and third of the season on October 27 in CALGARY (22 saves)…HAYDEN RINTOUL played in his 150th WHL career game against MEDICINE HAT on October 26…BRAYDEN MCNABB was selected to play for TEAM WHL in PRINCE GEORGE on November 18 for the SUBWAY SUPER SERIES, this is the second year in a row that MCNABB has been named to TEAM WHL.

INJURIES: Forward BRENDAN HURLEY will be out of the ICE line up four to six weeks with a hand injury…Defenseman JAMES MARTIN will be out of the KOOTENAY line up week to week with a facial injury…Defenseman HAYDEN RINTOUL will be out of the ICE line up week to week with a shoulder injury.

SCORING STREAKS: JOEY LEACH (3-4-7) and CHRISTIAN MAGNUS (1-5-6) have each recorded at least a point in their last five games.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 16 games of the 2009-2010 season the ICE were 5-11-0-0, after 17 games 6-11-0-0 and after 18 games 7-11-0-0.
