ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 12-4-0-2 record (7-2-0-1 at home, 5-2-0-1 on the road, 0-0 in overtime, 2-2 in shootouts) and in first place in the CENTRAL DIVISION and tied for second in the WHL…KOOTENAY was ranked number nine in the BMO CHL MASTERCARD TOP 10 RANKINGS for the week of November 1…This week the ICE will play two of their three games on the road, starting November 11th in CALGARY.

SAVE ON FOODS: The 2010-2011 SAVE ON FOODS VOUCHERS are now available…Customers can purchase the ticket vouchers at the CRANBROOK SAVE ON FOODS location for all remaining KOOTENAY ICE regular season home games…Cardholders can pick them up for $18.00 including HST or for free with the redemption of 8,000 SAVE ON MORE points…Non-Cardholders can get their vouchers for $20.00 including HST.

GROW-VEMBER: For the month of November member of the KOOTENAY ICE will be growing their best facial hair in support of the CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY and MEN’S HEALTH…Fans are encouraged to grow their facial hair along with the team and email your best looks throughout the month to growvember@gmail.com…The ICE will have their facial hair shaved off at center ice following the game on November 20th.

PEPSI KIDS CLUB: If you are between the ages of 5 and 12 you can sign up to be part of the PEPSI KIDS CLUB for only $17.00…Members receive a PEPSI KIDS CLUB gift, membership card and a PEPSI KIDS CLUB punch card that will get you into eight games for $5.00 per game…Members will also be invited to attend three private events…To sign up visit the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE.

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY is 12-2-0-2 against the EASTERN CONFERENCE this season (6-1-0-1 at home, 6-1-0-1 on the road, 0-0 in overtime, 2-2 in shootouts)…The ICE are 8-1-0-1 against the CENTRAL DIVISION so far this season (4-0-0-1 at home, 4-1-0-0 on the road, 0-0 in overtime, 1-1 in shootouts)…NATHAN LIEUWEN is third in the WHL in goals against average (2.29)…ADAM ROSSIGNOL recorded his first WHL career goal against CALGARY on November 6…ERIK BENOIT recorded his first WHL career goal on November 2 against CHILLIWACK…MAX REINHART played in his 150th WHL career game against CHILLIWACK on November 2... JOEY LEACH, who played in his 100th career game with KOOTENAY on November 6 against the HITMEN, leads the ICE in plus and minus at plus 11…KEVIN KING needs to record one more assist to reach 100 in his WHL career…CHRISTIAN MAGNUS needs to play in three more games to reach 100 games played with KOOTENAY…BRAYDEN MCNABB was selected to play for TEAM WHL in PRINCE GEORGE on November 18 for the SUBWAY SUPER SERIES, this is the second year in a row that MCNABB has been named to TEAM WHL.

INJURIES: Forward BRENDAN HURLEY will be out of the ICE line up four to six weeks with a hand injury…Defenseman JAMES MARTIN will be out of the KOOTENAY line up two to four weeks with a facial injury…Forward DREW CZERWONKA will be out of the ICE line up one to two weeks with a shoulder injury…Defenseman HAYDEN RINTOUL will be out of the KOOTENAY line up day to day with a shoulder injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 18 games of the 2009-2010 season the ICE were 7-11-0-, after 19 games 8-11-0-0 and after 20 games 8-11-1-0.
