Seattle, Wash – The Kootenay ICE scored 3 1st period powerplay goals in a 6-2 win over the Seattle Thunderbirds in WHL action on Saturday night.
It's the 2nd time the club had scored 3 powerplay goals in a game.
ICE ended a streak of 138:19 without scoring a goal as Steele Boomer scored 2 power-play goals and and Kevin King added a powerplay goal to give the ICE a 3-1 1st period lead.
Drew Czerwonka on a deflection, Jesse Ismond on a 2-on-1 and Sam Reinhart with his 2nd goal in his 2nd career game made it 6-1 after 2 periods.
King also had 2 assists for a 3 point game.
