ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 26-11-1-2 record (13-3-1-1 at home, 13-8-0-1 on the road, 0-1 in overtime, 3-2 in shootouts) and in second place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and WHL…The ICE will play three of their next five games at home.

DINNER AND A GAME: The KOOTENAY ICE along with COYOTE JACK’S GRILL have announced that fans can now purchase a restaurant seat and a meal for $25.00 for any remaining regular season home game…The meal will be off of a special COYOTE JACK’S GRILL menu that includes burgers, sandwiches, nachos and more…Limited seating is available and tickets can be purchased at the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE.

HOME DEPOT NIGHT: When the ICE host the RED DEER REBELS it will be HOME DEPOT NIGHT…Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to pick up HOME DEPOT toques at the door and win some great prizes.

ROCKSTAR OUTDOOR HOCKEY CLASSIC: Tickets are still available for the ROCKSTAR OUTDOOR HOCKEY CLASSIC in SPOKANE on January 15th…Fans can get their tickets to cheer on the ICE by calling 509-535-7825…The game will be held at the AVISTA STADIUM at 2:00 pm (MST).

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY is 22-9-1-2 against the EASTERN CONFERENCE this season (12-2-1-1 at home, 10-7-0-1 on the road, 0-1 in overtime, 3-2 in shootouts)…The ICE have recorded a season high nine straight games with a power play goal (franchise record is 21 straight games set in 2006-2007)…KOOTENAY is sixth in the League in overall penalty killing (82.8%)…BRAYDEN MCNABB, who needs two more assists to reach 100 in his WHL career, set the franchise record for most career points by a defenseman (38-98-136) on December 31 against SWIFT CURRENT (previously held by MIKE BUSTO – 36-98-134)…MAX REINHART is tied for fourth in the League in game winning goals with five…NATHAN LIEUWEN is tied for fourth in the WHL in goals against average (2.62)…STEELE BOOMER needs to score three more goals to reach 50 in his WHL career…KEVIN KING played in his 300th game with the ICE on December 28 against MEDICINE HAT…JESSE ISMOND recorded his 100th WHL career point against the TIGERS on December 28.

SCORING STREAKS: BRAYDEN MCNABB (7-8-15) has recorded at least a point in his last 11 games…KEVIN KING (2-5-7) has recorded at least a point in his last five games…JOE ANTILLA (1-2-3) has recorded at least a point in his last three games.

INJURY: Defenseman HAYDEN RINTOUL will be out of the ICE line up day to day with a knee injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 40 games of the 2009-2010 season the ICE were 22-15-1-2, after 41 games 23-15-1-2 and after 42 games 24-15-1-2.
