ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 30-15-1-2 record (16-5-1-1 at home, 14-10-0-1 on the road, 0-1 in overtime, 3-2 in shootouts) and in third place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and sixth in the WHL…KOOTENAY was ranked seventh in the BMO CHL MASTERCARD TOP 10 RANKINGS for the week of January 17…The ICE will play their next five games against EASTERN CONFERENCE teams.

DINNER AND A GAME: The KOOTENAY ICE along with COYOTE JACK’S GRILL have announced that fans can now purchase a restaurant seat and a meal for $25.00 for any remaining regular season home game…The meal will be off of a special COYOTE JACK’S GRILL menu that includes burgers, sandwiches, nachos and more…Limited seating is available and tickets can be purchased at the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE.

SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS: The sale of SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS continues…You get seven game certificates to use at your convenience – total flexibility…SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS are available in Adult, Senior, Student and Youth packages. Adults are $119.00, Seniors $91.00, Students $77.00 and Youth $63.00…On each package you save $3.00 per game over the walk-up ticket prices.

GIFT CARDS: Get the gift that keeps on giving…The KOOTENAY ICE now have reusable and reloadable GIFT CARDS for any dollar amount…Your special someone can use the gift card to buy individual game tickets, FLEX PAKS or PLAYOFF PACKAGES…GIFT CARDS are available now at the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE.

SAVE ON FOODS: The 2010-2011 SAVE ON FOODS VOUCHERS are still available…Customers can purchase the ticket vouchers at the CRANBROOK SAVE ON FOODS location for all remaining KOOTENAY ICE regular season home games…Cardholders can pick them up for $18.00 including HST or for free with the redemption of 8,000 SAVE ON MORE points…Non-Cardholders can get their vouchers for $20.00 including HST.

INJURIES / TRANSACTIONS: JOEY LEACH (ankle) and STEELE BOOMER (ankle) will both be out of the KOOTENAY line up four to six weeks …MATT FRASER (head) and LUKE PAULSEN (head) will both be out of the ICE line up day to day…KOOTENAY has called up Goaltender MACKENZIE SKAPSKI (June 6, 1994) of the RIDGE MEADOW FLAMES – PIJHL (20-927-4.27-1-.894) and Forward LEVI CABLE (August 31, 1994) of the YORKTON HARVEST – SMAAAHL (34-23-22-45-20) for the next five games.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 48 games of the 2009-2010 season the ICE were 30-15-1-2, after 49 games 30-16-1-2 and after 50 games 30-16-2-2.
