ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week’s action with a 32-16-1-2 record (17-6-1-1 at home, 15-10-0-1 on the road, 1-1 in overtime, 3-2 in shootouts) and in third place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and sixth in the WHL…The ICE will play eight games at home and four on the road during the month of February.

SPAGHETTI FEED: The KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB will be hosting a SPAGHETTI FEED on Sunday, February 20th at the Colombo Hall starting at 6:00 pm…The meal will be served by the KOOTENAY ICE players and will include chicken, potatoes, dessert and more…Tickets are $30.00 and available at the KOOTENAY ICE FAN CLUB TABLE during games or at KOOTENAY MARINE.

DINNER AND A GAME: The KOOTENAY ICE along with COYOTE JACK’S GRILL have announced that fans can now purchase a restaurant seat and a meal for $25.00 for any remaining regular season home game…The meal will be off of a special COYOTE JACK’S GRILL menu that includes burgers, sandwiches, nachos and more…Limited seating is available and tickets can be purchased at the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE.

SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS: The sale of SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS continues…You get seven game certificates to use at your convenience – total flexibility…SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS are available in Adult, Senior, Student and Youth packages. Adults are $119.00, Seniors $91.00, Students $77.00 and Youth $63.00…On each package you save $3.00 per game over the walk-up ticket prices.

SAVE ON FOODS: The 2010-2011 SAVE ON FOODS VOUCHERS are still available…Customers can purchase the ticket vouchers at the CRANBROOK SAVE ON FOODS location for all remaining KOOTENAY ICE regular season home games…Cardholders can pick them up for $18.00 including HST or for free with the redemption of 8,000 SAVE ON MORE points…Non-Cardholders can get their vouchers for $20.00 including HST.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE are 27-12-1-2 against the EASTERN CONFERENCE this season (15-5-1-1 at home, 12-6-0-1 on the road, 1-1 in overtime, 3-2 in shootouts)…Lifetime KOOTENAY has a 46-48-12-3 versus CALGARY (29-24-3-0 at home, 19-24-9-3 on the road, 2-0-12-3 in overtime)…The ICE are 22-4-0-1 when they score the first goal of the game and 10-12-1-1 when their opponent scores first…MACKENZIE SKAPSKI recorded his first WHL career win on January 29 against LETHBRIDGE (30 Saves)…JOE ANTILLA has played in 248 games with the ICE…BRAYDEN MCNABB has played in 238 games with KOOTENAY…JESSE ISMOND has played in 190 games with the ICE…KEVIN KING recorded his 200th WHL career point against BRANDON on January 26…BROCK MONTGOMERY played in his 100th WHL career game on January 23rd against RED DEER…BRENDAN HURLEY played in his 100th WHL career game against SPOKANE on January 21st.

SCORING STREAKS: ELGIN PEARCE (3-2-5), KEVIN KING (2-3-5) and JESSE ISMOND (1-4-5) have each recorded at least a point in their last four games.

INJURIES / TRANSACTIONS: JOEY LEACH (ankle) and STEELE BOOMER (ankle) will both be out of the KOOTENAY line up three to five weeks …LUKE PAULSEN will be out of the ICE line up week to week with a head injury…MATT FRASER will be out of the KOOTENAY line up day to day with a head injury…KOOTENAY has called up Goaltender MACKENZIE SKAPSKI (June 6, 1994) of the RIDGE MEADOW FLAMES – PIJHL (20-927-4.27-1-.894), Forward LEVI CABLE (August 31, 1994) of the YORKTON HARVEST – SMAAAHL (34-23-22-45-20) and Defensemen MIKE SIMPSON (May 7, 1994) of the PORT MOODY BLACK PANTHERS – PIJHL (17-2-3-5-50) for the next two games.
