Calgary 3 Kootenay 1 Game #53

Calgary, Alb – The Calgary Hitmen scored 2 1st period goals on their way to a 3-1 over the Kootenay ICE in WHL action on Wednesday night. So far the biggest crowd was on December 28th with 2,843 vs Medicine Hat.

ICE lone goal came late in the 2nd period as Kevin King from the corner fed Matt Fraser in the slot and he scored with a wrist shot high on the stick side.
Kevin King and Matt Fraser extended their point streaks to 6 games.

ICE went 7-1-0-0 vs Calgary this season.

Nathan Lieuwen did not have any concussion symptoms today and is day-to-day with neck/back spasms. He could play on the weekend.
Mike Simpson and Levi Cable will return to their clubs.
16-year-old Defenseman Jeff Hubic will join the ICE for the next 4 games. (Sask AAA Midget Tisdale 1-5-6 50pm)
