Saskatoon 9 Kootenay 2 Game #65

Saskatoon, Sask – The Saskatoon Blades swept the 4-game regular season series against the Kootenay ICE with a 9-2 win in WHL action on Friday night.

Matt Fraser and Joe Antilla scored for the ICE.
Fraser's 30th came on a breakaway with the clubs skating 4-on-4.
Antilla got his 20th and it was the 18th shorthanded goal by the ICE this year.
Brayden McNabb received a major penalty for boarding and the play is automatically reviewed by the league and could receive a suspension.
Because of other penlaties the Blades only received a 3 minute major powerplay but still scored 2 goals and gave up a shorthanded goal.

It’s the 2nd 3-game losing streak by the ICE this season.
The last time was January 21-26 and they followed it by winning 8 of the next 9 games.

ICE will visit Prince Albert on Saturday.
