ICE in Portland

For the 3rd time in this years playoffs the ICE traveled through the night to get into the opposition's city. The club left Cranbrook at 11pm and arrived in Portland in the early morning.
The club had a chance to have a practice today in the Rose Garden as they prepare for game 1 of the WHL Final tomorrow.
The Winterhawks have 2 home buildings with the Memorial Coliseum and the Rose Garden.
I believe this will be only the 2nd time the ICE will play a game in the newer building. October 21, 2001 the ICE and Portland tied 3-3. Trevor Johnson and Colin Sinclair scored goals in the last 3 minutes of the game to earn the tie.
6 weeks later the ICE made the blockbuster trade with Swift Current to acquire BJ Boxma and Duncan Milroy.
