Lethbridge 9 Kootenay 3 Exhibition Game #4

Crowsnest Pass, Alb – The Kootenay ICE lost 9-3 to Lethbridge in WHL exhibition action on Friday night.

The ICE have given up the 1st goal of the game in all 4 of their preseason games.
The Hurricanes had a 4-0 lead before the ICE scored their goal on a powerplay as Sam Reinhart got the puck to Luke Philp near the crease and he scored by banging in a rebound.

In the 2nd period the ICE changed goalies as Wyatt Hoflin replaced Brett Teskey.
ICE cut the Lethbridge lead to 4-2 as Elgin Pearce scored on the power-play.

In the 3rd period the ICE scored their 3rd powerplay goal of the game as John Neibrandt brought the puck into the zone and fed Reinhart on the right wing who scored with a wrist shot on stick side. Reinhart leads the club with 3 goals in the preseason.

The weekend Thunder Challenge tournament involving the ICE, Hurricanes and Hitmen is being dedicated to the memory of Rick Rypien. Father Wes and brother Wes Jr. dropped the ceremonial face-off.

Joe Antilla is back with the ICE after attending San Jose camp.
