ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 12-3-1-2 record (9-1-1-0 at home, 3-2-0-2 on the road, 0-0-3 in overtime) and are tied for first place in the CENTRAL DIVISION and in the WHL…KOOTENAY was ranked ninth in the BMO CHL MASTERCARD TOP 10 RANKINGS for the week of October 31...The ICE will play their next three games at home (November 9 - November 13) before embarking on a nine game two week road trip (November 19 - December 4).

RECORD BOOK: The KOOTENAY ICE RECORD BOOK is now available online...If you want to know all the Club's stats and history you just have to go to www.kootenayice.net and under TEAM to RECORD BOOK.

SAVE ON FOODS: The 2011-2012 SAVE ON FOODS VOUCHERS are now available…Customers can purchase the ticket vouchers at the CRANBROOK SAVE ON FOODS location for all remaining KOOTENAY ICE regular season home games…Cardholders can pick them up for $19.00 including HST or for free with the redemption of 8,000 SAVE ON MORE points…Non-Cardholders can get their vouchers for $21.00 including HST.

PEPSI KIDS CLUB: Registration for the PEPSI KIDS CLUB is underway…Kids from five to 12 can sign up to be part of the KIDS CLUB and receive a punch card to attend eight games for only $5.00…The events this year will be skating with the team, a party at Fort Steele and watching a movie with the players…Cost for each kid is $17.00 and forms are available at the Kootenay ICE Office…Registration deadline is Monday, November 14.

PEPSI SHOOT TO WIN: During every regular season home game fans will have the chance to shoot pucks into a washing machine for $2.00 for nightly prizes and to be entered into a monthly draw to participate on ice in a shoot to win...The proceeds will be split between the KOOTENAY ICE EDUCATION FUND and the ATOM ICE TRAVEL TEAM...The contest will take place behind Section D/E for the hour prior to the start of the game.

PEAK PERFORMANCE MOTORSPORTS NIGHT: When the ICE host the TRI-CITY AMERICANS on November 9 it will be PEAK PERFORMANCE MOTORSPORTS NIGHT....Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to win a quad compliments of PEAK PERFORMANCE MOTORSPORTS.

EAST KOOTENAY COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION NIGHT: When KOOTENAY hosts the SEATTLE THUNDERBIRDS on November 12 it will be EAST KOOTENAY COMMUNITY CREDIT UNION NIGHT...EKC will be selling pucks for the second intermission puck toss with all the proceeds going to FOOD FOR KIDS.

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY is 9-1-0-1 when leading after the second period, 0-2-0-1 when losing and 3-0-1-0 when tied...The ICE are 10-1-0-1 when they score the first goal of the game and 2-2-1-1 when their opponent scores first...The ICE are tied for 17th on the power play in the WHL at 19.2%...KOOTENAY is sixth in penalty killing in the LEAGUE at 81.8%...NATHAN LIEUWEN, who is first among goaltenders in the LEAGUE in goals against average (1.64), is third in franchise history for games played by a goaltender with 136 (JEFF GLASS - 143, TAYLOR DAKERS - 137)...JESSE ISMOND leads KOOTENAY in game winning goals at home with two...MAX REINHART, who leads the ICE in points at home (5-7-12), has been named to TEAM WHL for the SUBWAY SUPER SERIES (REGINA - November 16, MOOSE JAW - November 17).

INJURIES: BRENDAN HURLEY will be out of the KOOTENAY line up two to four weeks with a lower body injury...DREW CZERWONKA will be out of the ICE line up one week with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 18 games of the 2010-2011 season the ICE were 12-4-0-2, after 19 games 13-4-0-2 and after 20 games 14-4-0-2.
