ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 34-21-4-4 record (18-10-1-2 at home, 16-11-3-2 on the road, 2-4 in overtime, 3-4 in shootouts) and in fifth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE and tied for eighth overall in the WHL...The ICE have nine regular season games remaining in the 2011-2012 season (five at home, four on the road).

GIFT CARDS: Get the gift that keeps on giving…The KOOTENAY ICE now have reusable and reloadable GIFT CARDS for any dollar amount…Your special someone can use the gift card to buy individual game tickets, FLEX PAKS or PLAYOFF PACKAGES…GIFT CARDS are available now at the KOOTENAY ICE OFFICE.

SAVE ON FOODS: The 2011-2012 SAVE ON FOODS VOUCHERS are available until the end of the regular season…Customers can purchase the ticket vouchers at the CRANBROOK SAVE ON FOODS location for all remaining KOOTENAY ICE regular season home games…Cardholders can pick them up for $19.00 including HST or for free with the redemption of 8,000 SAVE ON MORE points…Non-Cardholders can get their vouchers for $21.00 including HST.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE will finish the 2011-2012 regular season with an above .500 record for the 13th consecutive season, which is the longest active streak in the WESTERN HOCKEY LEAGUE…KOOTENAY will finish the regular season with a .500 or better road record for the 11th time in the last 13 seasons...The ICE need three more victories to reach 600 wins in franchise history (597-416-121)…KOOTENAY is tied for 12th overall on the power play in the WHL at 21.2%...The ICE are sixth in the LEAGUE in penalty killing at 80.5%...KOOTENAY is 14th overall on the power play at home in the WHL at 20.3%...The ICE are seventh in the LEAGUE in penalty killing at home at 81.7%...KOOTENAY is 9-7-1-0 when outshooting their opponent at home, 8-3-0-1 when being outshot and 1-0-0-1 when tied...The ICE are 15-1-0-1 when leading after the second period at home, 0-7-0-0 when losing and 3-2-1-1 when tied...NATHAN LIEUWEN, who is third in the LEAGUE in save percentage (.918), is first in the WHL in goals against average (2.39)...LIEUWEN set a franchise record with his 83rd career victory on February 25 in PRINCE ALBERT (82 career wins was the old record held by TAYLOR DAKERS - 2003-2007)...SAM REINHART (26-31-57), who is third in the LEAGUE for points by a rookie, is tied for second in the WHL for scoring the first goal of the game with eight...JOEY LEACH leads the ICE in plus / minus with a plus 27...LEACH played in his 200th WHL career game on February 24 in SASKATOON...MAX REINHART (10-21-31) leads KOOTENAY in scoring at home...JOE ANTILLA is third in career games played with the ICE with 331 (DALE MAHOVSKY - 344, KEVIN KING - 335)...TANNER MUTH played in his 150th WHL career game on February 22 in REGINA.

INJURIES: Forward DREW CZERWONKA will be out of the KOOTENAY line up three to five weeks with a lower body injury...Defenseman LUKE PAULSEN will be out of the ICE line up day to day with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 63 games of the 2010-2011 season the ICE were 41-18-1-3, after 64 games 41-19-1-3 and after 65 games 41-20-1-3.
