In Depth Look At Losses

With 3 games left until the playoffs there are a lot of positives from the Kootenay ICE this season.

They have clinched a playoff spot for the 14th consecutive season, which is the longest active streak in the WHL.
They will have a winning record for the 13th straight season, which is also the longest active streak in the league.
The will have a winning record at home and on the road. They have been above .500 away from home in 11 of the past 13 seasons.
They will have at least a .500 record against the Central Division.
They have a .500 record against the East Division.
They have a winning record against teams from the B.C. Division and the U.S. Division.
BUT, did you know, of the 33 losses (25 regulation, 4 overtime, 4 shootout) the ICE have had this season; they held the lead or were tied in 21 of the games?
In only 7 games did they earn a point by going into extra time. Of a possible 42 points they lost 35 potential points.
The good news is they have played well enough to be competitive in almost all of their games this season.
