Kootenay 1 Edmonton 0 Game #8

Cranbrook, BC – Kootenay ICE goalie Mackenzie Skapski made 25 saves for his 1st career shutout in a 1-0 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings in WHL action on Sunday night.

After a scoreless first period and the ICE (3-5-0-0) got the games only goal late in the second period with Collin Shirley scoring from the high slot with a wrist shot high on the stick side.

ICE powerplay was 0-for-8 including a 2-man advantage for 33 seconds in the second period.
The win ends an 11 game losing streak against Edmonton (5-3-1-1).

The ICE will visit Red Deer on Friday.
