Kootenay 3 Prince Albert 2 OT Game #45

Prince Albert, Sask – The Kootenay ICE came back from a 2-goal 3rd period deficit to beat the Prince Albert Raiders 3-2 in overtime in WHL action on Wednesday night.

The Raiders (26-15-1-3) opened the scoring early in the first period with Anthony Bardoro alone in the slot for a wrist shot high on the glove side.
The Raiders made 2-0 after winning a battle in the corner and Mike Winther scored on a one-timer.

The ICE (19-25-1-0) scored early in the third period with a rebound goal from Jaedon Descheneau.
Late in the period the ICE tied the game 2-2 with Sam Reinhart getting a rebound and backhanded it by the fallen goalie.

Late in overtime the ICE scored on a 2-on-1 break and Sam Reinhart finishing off a saucer pass from Jaedon Descheneau.

It’s the third time the ICE have come back from a 2-goal deficit to win and twice it happened in Prince Albert.
Sam Reinhart has 3 career overtime goal and 2 have come in Prince Albert.
Jaedon Descheneau (8 games) and Sam Reinhart (8 games) extended their point streaks.

Jeff Hubic played in his 100th career game.

The ICE will visit Regina on Friday.
