Lethbridge 4 Kootenay 2 Game #70

Lethbridge, Alb – The Lethbridge Hurricanes beat the Kootenay ICE 4-2 in WHL action on Wednesday.

The Hurricanes (27-33-3-7) opened the scoring midway through the second period on a rebound by Tyler Wong.
Lethbridge made it 2-0 off a faceoff win in the ICE zone and Jamal Watson scored on a spinaround.
Late in the period the ICE (34-34-2-0) scored on a powerplay with a pretty passing play completed by Luke Philp.

Early in the third period the ICE tied the game on a powerplay deflection by Sam Reinhart.
Less than 2 minutes later the Hurricanes took a 3-2 lead on powerplay goal by Graham Hood.
With the clubs skating 4-on-4 Lenny Hackman scored his 1st career goal to make the score 4-2.

Jaedon Descheneau (7 games) and Sam Reinhart (6 games) extended their point streaks.

Tanner Muth left the game midway through the 1st period.
Wyatt Hoflin’s last start was January 30th in Edmonton.

The ICE will host Calgary on Friday.

The ICE were one skater short of a complete line-up.
The ICE forwards were made up of 1 15-year-old, 2 16’s, 4 17’s and 4 18’s.
