ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 11-8-2-0 record (7-6-0-0 at home, 4-2-2-0 on the road, 0-2 in overtime, 2-0 in shootouts) and tied for fourth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE...The ICE will play five of their next seven games against the EAST DIVISION.

MOVEMBER: The KOOTENAY ICE along with the CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE are growing moustaches to raise money for PROSTATE AND TESTICULAR CANCER...Fans can donate to the cause by visiting www.movember.com and search KOOTENAY ICE...Last year, the CANADIAN HOCKEY LEAGUE raised a total of $175,583.

BELIEVE IN THE GOLD: The KOOTENAY ICE are teaming up with BELIEVE IN THE GOLD to raise money for childhood cancer...On Saturday, November 23rd when the ICE host the BRANDON WHEAT KINGS the team will be playing with sticks that will be auctioned off behind Section U during the game...The winning bids will have the opportunity to meet the player and have their picture taken following the game.

PEPSI KIDS CLUB: Registration for the PEPSI KIDS CLUB is underway…Kids from five to 12 can sign up to be part of the KIDS CLUB and receive a punch card to attend eight games for only $5.00…The events this year will include skating, tobogganing and a movie…Cost for each child is $17.00 and forms are available at the Kootenay ICE Office…Registration deadline is Friday, November 15th.

SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS: SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS are now available to purchase at the ICE Office…You get seven game certificates to use at your convenience – total flexibility...SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS are available in Adult, Senior, Student and Youth packages...Adults are $133.00, Seniors $105.00, Students $91.00 and Youth $70.00.

DID YOU KNOW: The ICE are fourth in the WHL in overall power play (25.3%)...KOOTENAY is sixth in the LEAGUE in overall penalty kill (82.9%)...The ICE are 8-3-1-0 when outshooting their opponent, 2-4-1-0 when being outshot and 1-1-0-0 when the shots are tied...KOOTENAY is 9-2-1-0 when scoring the first goal of the game, 2-6-1-0 when their opponent scores first...SAM REINHART, who is fifth in the WHL in points with 34 (9-25-34), is tied for third in the League in assists with 25...JAEDON DESCHENEAU, who is tied for first in the WHL for scoring the first goal of the game with four, is tied for third in the League with 16 goals scored...RINAT VALIEV recorded his first WHL career goal on November 11 in CALGARY...TIM BOZON needs to record two more assists to reach 100 in his WHL career…LEVI CABLE needs to play in one more game to reach 150 in his career…JON MARTIN needs to play in two more games to reach 150 in his WHL career…SAM REINHART and JAEDON DESCHENEAU have been named to TEAM WHL for the SUBWAY SUPER SERIES (NOVEMBER 27 - RED DEER, NOVEMBER 28 - LETHBRIDGE).

INJURIES / TRANSACTION: Goaltender MACKENZIE SKAPSKI (lower body) and Forward ZACH MCPHEE (upper body) will both be out of the KOOTENAY line up for one week…Defenseman TANNER FAITH will be out of the ICE line up three to four weeks with an upper body injury....Forward KYLE O'CONNOR will be out of the KOOTENAY line up for an underdetermined amount of time with a lower body injury...The ICE have added 17-year-old Goaltender JAYDEN SITTLER (January 23, 1996) to the line up until November 20th (RED DEER OPTIMIST CHIEFS - AMHL).

ONE YEAR AGO: After 21 games of the 2012-2013 season the ICE were 7-13-1-0, after 22 games were 7-14-1- and after 23 games were 7-15-1-0.
