ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 19-17-2-1 record (10-10-0-1 at home, 9-7-2-0 on the road, 0-2 in overtime, 3-1 in shootouts) and tied for sixth place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE...The ICE will play four of their next five games against the CENTRAL DIVISION.

TRANSACTIONS / INJURY: Forward SAM REINHART is playing for CANADA at the 2014 IIHF WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP in MALMO, SWEDEN (December 26 - January 5)...Defenseman TROY MURRAY is playing for TEAM WEST at the 2014 WORLD U-17 HOCKEY CHALLENGE in CAPE BRETON, NOVA SCOTIA (December 28 – January 5)...KOOTENAY has added 16-year-old Defenseman DYLAN OVERDYK (August 3, 1997) from the EDMONTON MAPLE LEAFS of the AMHL and 16-year-old Forward AUSTIN WELLSBY (June 30, 1997) from the FRASER VALLEY THUNDERBIRDS of the BCMML to the roster...Defenseman TANNER FAITH will be out of the ICE line up four to six months with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 39 games of the 2012-2013 season the ICE were 14-24-1-0, after 40 games were 15-24-1-0 and after 41 games were 16-24-1-0.
