ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 25-20-2-2 record (14-10-0-2 at home, 11-10-2-0 on the road, 0-2 in overtime, 3-2 in shootouts) and tied for seventh place in the EASTERN CONFERENCE...The ICE, who have won a season high four consecutive games, will play four of their next six games against CENTRAL DIVISION TEAMS.

SAM REINHART BOBBLEHEADS: On February 1 when KOOTENAY host the CALGARY HITMEN the first 950 fans in the door will have the opportunity to get a SAM REINHART BOBBLEHEAD courtesy of EAST KOOTENAY FOUNDATION FOR HEALTH...The bobbleheads will be handed out in an orderly fashion with a lineup of first come, first available based on one per person per paid ticket (no exceptions)...The line up and distribution will take place at the former skate sharpening location (inside rink access).

DID YOU KNOW: KOOTENAY 18-3-1-2 when scoring the first goal of the game and 7-17-1-0 when their opponent scores first…The ICE are 17-2-1-1 when leading after the second period, 3-14-0-1 when losing and 5-4-1-0 when tied...KOOTENAY is 14-9-1-0 when outshooting their opponent, 9-10-1-2 when being outshot and 2-1-0-0 when shots are tied...LUKE PHILP needs one more point to reach 100 in his WHL career...JAGGER DIRK recorded his 100th WHL career assist against MOOSE JAW on January 25...LANDON PEEL played in his 100th WHL career game on January 25 against the WARRIORS...SAM REINHART recorded his fourth career hat trick and second of the season against MOOSE JAW on January 25...MACKENZIE SKAPSKI is fourth in franchise history for wins by a goaltender with 61 (NATHAN LIEUWEN - 85, TAYLOR DAKERS - 82, JEFF GLASS - 75)...JAEDON DESCHENEAU, who is tied for fifth in the WHL in goals scored with 30, is tied for sixth in the League in points with 63 (30-33-63).

SCORING STREAKS: LUKE PHILP (5-11-16) has recorded at least a point in his last ten games…TIM BOZON (8-7-15) has recorded at least a point in his last nine games…SAM REINHART (8-6-14) has recorded at least a point in the last seven games he has played in...JAEDON DESCHENEAU (2-5-7) has recorded at least a point in his last four games.

INJURIES: Forward RYAN CHYNOWETH will be out of the KOOTENAY line up one week with an upper body injury...Defenseman TANNER FAITH will be out of the ICE line up four to six months with an upper body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After 49 games of the 2012-2013 season the ICE were 22-25-2-0, after 50 games were 23-25-2-0 and after 51 games were 23-26-2-0.
