ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 1-1-0-0 record (0-0-0-0 at home, 1-1-0-0 on the road) and tied for third place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...The ICE set a new WHL record by finishing the 2013-14 regular season with a .500 or better record for the 15th consecutive year...KOOTENAY will play five of its next six games away from home.

HOME OPENER: The 2014-15 home opener is set for Friday, October 3 vs. SPOKANE and tickets are now available at the ICE office...Fans are invited to a pre-game Tailgate Party outside WESTERN FINANCIAL PLACE from 4:30 - 6:30 pm...Food and beverages will be supplied by COYOTE JACK'S BAR & GRILL and there will be live entertainment too!

SEASON TICKETS: Season Tickets are available to purchase until Monday, October 6 at 5:00 pm…Individual game tickets for the remainder of the 2014-15 regular season will go on sale on Wednesday, October 8...Season Ticket holders are invited to pick up their ticket packages at the 3rd annual ICE Pancake Breakfast compliments of COYOTE JACK'S BAR & GRILL on Sunday, September 28 from 10:00 am – noon at WESTERN FINANCIAL PLACE.

SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS: SUPER SEVEN FLEX PAKS are now available to purchase at the ICE Office…You get seven game certificates to use at your convenience – total flexibility...The first 100 FLEX PAKS purchased will include a golf voucher for WILDSTONE GOLF COURSE…Adult FLEX PAKS are $140.00, Seniors $112.00, Students $98.00 and Youth $70.00.

ROSTER UPDATE: KOOTENAY is currently carrying 26 players (two goaltenders, nine defensemen and 15 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of two 1994-born players, eight 1995-born players, six 1996-born players, seven 1997-born players, and three 1998-born players...KOOTENAY has ten first-year players on its roster.

DID YOU KNOW: BRYAN ALLBEE scored his first WHL career goal September 20 in EDMONTON...ALLBEE, DYLAN OVERDYK, CALE FLEURY and JARED LEGIEN each recorded their first career WHL points (all assists) September 19 in RED DEER... LEVI CABLE became the 30th ICE player to appear in 200 WHL games September 20 against the OIL KINGS...RYAN CHYNOWETH appeared in his 150th career WHL game September 19 versus the REBELS.

TRANSACTIONS / INJURIES: The ICE have released goaltender JAYDEN SITTLER (January 23, 1996) to a team yet to be determined...Forward JAEDON DESCHENEAU (ST. LOUIS BLUES) and Defenseman TANNER FAITH (MINNESOTA WILD) are both currently attending NHL Training Camps...Forward LUKE PHILP will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup day-to-day with a lower body injury...Defenseman RINAT VALIEV will be out of the ICE line up three to five weeks with a lower body injury.

DRAFTED PLAYERS: RINAT VALIEV – Toronto Maple Leafs (3rd Round, 2014 NHL Draft), JAEDON DESCHENEAU – St. Louis Blues (5th Round, 2014 NHL Draft), TANNER FAITH – Minnesota Wild (5th Round, 2014 NHL Draft).

ONE YEAR AGO: After two games of the 2013-14 season the ICE were 0-2-0-0, after three games 1-2-0-0 and after four games 2-2-0-0.
