The Kootenay ICE scored five unanswered goals, and four forwards recorded multi-point games in a 5-2 victory over the Seattle Thunderbirds Saturday in Kent, Washington.

Luke Philp's goal in the final minute of the first period proved to be the game-winner as the ICE erased a two-goal deficit and won for the ninth time in the month of November.

The ICE offense came to life in the second half of the opening frame. Down 2-0 on unassisted goals from Ethan Bear and Nolan Volcan, Kootenay found the back of Seattle netminder Danny Mumaugh's net at 12:13 when Zak Zborosky fired home his seventh goal of the year from the low slot.

Tim Bozon tied the game at 2-2 just under three minutes later, before Jaedon Descheneau set up Philp for the go-ahead marker with 28 seconds left in the period.

ICE captain Sam Reinhart extended the lead just shy of the five minute mark of period three, before Descheneau rounded out the scoring with an empty-netter, his team-leading 15th goal of the season.

Wyatt Hoflin made 16 saves to record the win in goal for Kootenay, while Mumaugh turned aside 21 shots for the Thunderbirds.

The ICE went 2/5 on the power-play, extending their current streak of games with a power-play goal to seven.

Sam Reinhart prolonged his point streak to ten games, recording his eighth multi-point game this season. Descheneau's point streak increased to nine games.

Philp's goal was his 150th career WHL regular season point.
